5 Fun Corona Lockdown Date Ideas

We’re all in the same boat, all stuck in the house, all driving each other mad and all (hopefully because it’ll make me feel a little less guilty) eating far too many treats!

Although we’re most likely spending majority of the day by our partners side, with phones, FIFA and Facebook it’s easy to become disconnected. SO, Imma challenge you to have a technology free evening with your fave person, and here’s a few fun things you can do to reconnect and feel close again!

1.     Start a new hobby

It’s always lovely introducing something you love to your partner and them taking a genuine interest in your hobbies. But how frustrating is it when you’re introduced to their hobby, something that they love and practice a lot… and you suck at it! So why not start on an even playing field and start a new hobby together. Whether you want to try out a little Mary Berry baking, Picasso painting, or London Grammar’s band practice, what more perfect timing than now?!

2.     Come Dine With Me

I don’t know about you, but my husband and I are VERY competitive… this is the perfect way to have a little friendly competition (or absolutely flipping smash your partners cooking skills) and have a delicious 2 or 3 course meal. Delegate your roles, have one person on starters/dessert and the other on mains. This of course can be done again, and roles swapped on your next date night! Once each course is consumed, don’t forget to film your score and show each other your fun videos. Let us know who won over on our Instagram @inkandalder_

 3.     Look back at your relationship

This is one of my favourite things to do on a date. Looking back at old photos of the two of you and talking about the memories you have of that time (often with my husband, it’s very little as he has the worst memory ever!!). We found this is something that really leaves us feeling close and leads to exciting future chats.

4.     Karaoke Night

This is something we like doing on a regular basis… Open up Spotify or YouTube and take it in turns to choose an old school song, preferably one that you can belt every lyric out! Talk about what the song reminds you of or just sing your little hearts out!

5.     Fort Building

A classic, but something you’ve probably not done since you were 12! This is the perfect time to get all of your blankets and pillows down (and maybe a few fairy lights) and make a cute fort. Get your hands on your fave snacks, Netflix and get cosy!

Are you and BAE self isolating apart? FaceTime is a beautiful thing! You can still do most of these things… minus the cuddling. Get yourselves on FaceTime and set up a virtual date, make the same meal, watch a movie at the same time or even start a cheeky drawing class!

We’d love to hear if you try out any of these dates, follus us on Instagram and send us your pics! Or give us some new ideas, we’d love to try them out :)
